Illustration
A design-based study of illustration using traditional and digital media including painting, watercolor, life drawing, graphic design, and Adobe Illustrator. Illustration students will learn design principles with particular emphasis on visual communication, vector art, drawing of line and subject, and complex blending in preparation for a variety of careers in the publishing, marketing, education, and illustration industries. An Associate of Applied Science Degree and a Post Associate Certificate are available in Illustration.
The program prepares you for entry and advancement within a wide range of industries including entertainment, software and gaming development, marketing, education, commerce, and training. Illustration designers with graphic design principles with particular emphasis upon visual communication, vector art, drawing of line and subject, and complex blending. Common applications include: presentation graphics, consumer CD-ROM and video games, interface design, online services, and multimedia graphics.
